  3. St. Patrick’s Classical School opened its doors for the first time in September 1930. It was however a much earlier manifestation of Diocesan Education for boys in Navan, St. Finian’s, which established the core educational principles still adhered to over 200 years later.

  6. St Patrick’s Classical School is a Catholic Voluntary School for boys under the trusteeship of the Bishop of Meath, Most Reverend Tom Deenihan. We are, therefore, a Diocesan school, a faith-based school.

  7. Beginning on a phased basis in September 2014, the new junior cycle features revised subjects and short courses, a focus on key skills, and new approaches to assessment and reporting. Schools have more freedom to design junior cycle programmes that meet the learning needs of all students.
