In the spring of 2013, a group of inspired Waterbury educators and citizens applied to the State of Connecticut for a public charter school that would serve Waterburys children in grades pre-K through 8. Their petition was successful, and Brass City Charter School (BCCS) opened its doors to 114 students in grades Pre-K through 1st that fall in the former St. Margaret’s School building.

The 47-acre campus is located at 565 Chase Parkway.
