Stef Burns (geboren 26. Juni 1959 in Oakland) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker. Er ist Gitarrist der Band Huey Lewis & the News, bei der er im Jahr 2000 den damals ausgestiegenen Chris Hayes ersetzte.

Stef Burns was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, CA, where he attended Northgate High School. He started playing his Dad’s guitar around age 6. At 7 he got his first electric guitar which was a Winston. He upgraded to a Fender Mustang soon after.

As well as playing guitar and singing backing-vocals, he became an established rock songwriter, and would often put Huey’s lyrics to music. Chris left the band in the year 2000, to spend more time with his family; although has occasionally filled in for the News’ current lead guitarist, Stef Burns.
