Born in Los Angeles in 1930 to musician father Louis Castellucci, Stella went on to continue and further his legacy. She joined Peggy Lee’s touring jazz group in 1953.
Stella Castellucci, a native Californian, has enjoyed a successful and varied career as a harpist. Her early career began in radio after completing her studies in Los Angeles. Her talents were soon discovered, leading to an eight-year association with famed singer Peggy lee.
This collection contains materials collected by Stella Castellucci ranging from approximately 1955 to 2009. It includes press clippings, correspondence, photographs, and CDs which Stella recorded. Also contains Harp Column journals in which Stella was featured, and an American Harp Society (AHS) pin and harp necklace.
