Harold HUnter aka Stemziel "Stemsy" Hunter [1] is an American saxophonist and vocalist. [2] [3] During the 1960s, he was a member of The Electric Flag. [3] He has also played on recordings by Buddy Miles, as well as being a member of Miles's band.
Stemsy Hunter. Saxophonist from Omaha, Nebraska. In 1959, at age 14, Hunter started out in a band with Curly Martin called Daddy Long Legs & The Rocking Nighthawks. Later he was in Andre Lewis 's group, Andre Lewis & the New Breed.

He had to handle that role until saxophonist Stemsy Hunter, who was a friend of Miles came on board in early 1968. Fonfara was shortly thereafter selected as the keyboard player for Rhinoceros, where he rebuilt his musical career.

In the 1950s, Rich was a member of The 7-Wonders, a group that included his family members. Around 1964, he formed the Omaha group, The New Breed. Members included Stemsy Hunter, Hoshal Wright, Jerry Bennett, Hank Redd and Curly Martin and Jerry Bennett. [2]
