Stephen Frank Housden (born 1950 or 1951) is an English-born Australian musician. He joined the rock group Little River Band (LRB) in 1981 on lead guitar and vocals and ceased performing with them in 2006. Previously, Housden had worked as a session musician for various Australian artists.

Stephen Housden is well known as lead guitarist with Little River Band for more that two decades. Over the years Stephen has also played alongside music legends as Warren Zevon, Glenn Frey (The Eagles), Dr. John, Christopher Cross, John Entwhistle (The Who), Renee Geyer, Albert Lee, Steve Cropper, The Seekers, Noel Redding (The Jimi Hendrix Experience) and more.
In the 1980s, members included Farnham, Wayne Nelson, Stephen Housden, David Hirschfelder and Steve Prestwich. The current line-up is Nelson, Chris Marion , Ryan Ricks, Colin Whinnery and Bruce Wallace – none of whom are Australian.

According to the Melbourne edition of the Sunday Herald Sun, Stephen Housdenand Wayne Nelson filed suit in the Victorian Supreme Court on August 10, against founder guitarist and songwriter Graeham Goble and his company Days On The Road Pty Ltd.
10. Sept. 2014 · Stephen Housden, the current legal owner of the Little River Band name, has taken action to force the founder and principal songwriter of the original band to take down a Facebook page using the name 'The Original Little River Band'. He objects to the name 'The Original Little Band' being used on a Facebook page despite the fact that Graeham Goble is the founder of the original band.
