Aug. 2015 · The actor, who played Inspector Cyril "Blakey" in the 1970s ITV sitcom On the Buses and "Smiler" in the BBC's Last of the Summer Wine, passed away peacefully in a nursing home in London. He also appeared in other TV shows and films, such as Sparrers (later Sparrows) Can't Sing, and wrote a play for Barbara Windsor.
