Steve Davidowski was the keyboardist on Free Fall. When Davidowski left to work with fiddler Vassar Clements, former Dixie Grit/Dixie Dregs keyboardist Mark Parrish rejoined the group later that year.

2. März 2022 · In 1980, The Dregs released “Down The Tubes,” their first album with former Chicken Wire Gene Miller on bass and keyboardist Steve Davidowski rejoining the band. Allen Sloan had left and was replaced by John Slick (keyboards) by this time. At this time, they also recorded their first live album, the excellent “Night of the Living Dregs (re-issue).”

After moving back to Augusta, where Steve Davidowski (keyboards) completed the Dixie Dregs, the band established themselves in the firmament of American instrumental music, seamlessly fusing rock with progressive and jazz elements to create a uniquely instrumental-driven style that stands the test of time.
