  6. Sylvia Shemwell. (b. June 30 th,1941). Vocalist in American R&B group, The Sweet Inspirations, founded by Cissy Houston.Sylvia was also the sister of Gospel and soul singer Judy Clay. Shemwell began singing at the young age of five years old, and by the time she had turned 14 years old, she’d won a contest for the Apollo Amateur Hour.
