3. Nov. 2022 · Cooder fetched up as a guest, but it was the eloquent interplay between Mahal and fellow guitarist Jesse Ed Davis that impressed. As a slide player, Mahal was exceptional. He blew a mean harp too, while the warm crackle of his voice made the songs jump.
Taj Mahal, who provides the vocals and blues harmonica, is backed by guitarists Jesse Ed Davis and Ry Cooder. Columbia Records released the album in February 1968 [2] to favorable reviews, [3] however, it did not reach the album charts.
