Teheran ist die Hauptstadt des Irans und hat etwa 12 Millionen Einwohner in der Agglomeration, was die Stadt unübersichtlich und chaotisch erscheinen lässt. Dennoch ist Teheran, auch wenn es nicht das gleiche geschichtliche Erbe wie andere Städte des Irans aufweist, durchaus einen Aufenthalt wert.
