Terry Luttrell (born 1947 Champaign, Illinois) is an American rock singer/musician best known as lead vocalist for both REO Speedwagon (1968–1972) and Starcastle (1973–1979). Bands. Luttrell had played guitar with a local Champaign band, Terry Cook and the Majestics, in the early to mid-1960s.
Terry Luttrell is the original lead singer of REO Speedwagon and the first album. He performs songs from the first album and REO classics with his band REO TWO, featuring Michael Mesey (Chuck Berry/Head East) and other musicians.
In early 1968, Terry Luttrell became lead singer and Bob Crownover joined as the guitarist, replacing Matt after he graduated. When Mike Blair left the band in mid-1968, Gregg Philbin replaced Blair and Joe McCabe played sax until he moved on to Southern Illinois University .
