Founded by bandleader Randy Chortkoff, the band is named after the song "Mannish Boy" by Muddy Waters. Led by vocalist Finis Tasby, the band consists of all-star veteran members of the West Coast blues scene. The band debuted from Delta Groove Productions in 2004 with the album That Represent Man.

Juli 2010 · The Mannish Boys is an "All-Star" cast of mastered bluesmen who have each mastered his own craft, and I have heard others describe this CD as "West Coast Blues" I beg to differ this is a mix of the best the Delta and Chicago blues have to offer. This band may be assembled from the best of the West Coast crop but I believe these guys are the best blues band in Americia today.
