The Austin Sessions include other artists helping out, Jackson Browne, Steve Earle, Matraca Berg, Vince Gill, Marc Cohn, Alison Krauss, Catie Curtis, and Mark Knopfler. I do like the original tunes on the earlier studio albums better though.

  7. The album also has outstanding vocal backups by Steve Earle, Jackson Browne, Matraca Berg, Vince Gill, Marc Cohn, Alison Krauss, Catie Curtis and Mark Knopfler. How can you go wrong? As a fan off Rock 'n Roll and not being a country guy, I can only say, "Try this album." 'Nuff said.
