This isn't offensively bad and it is actually quite watchable but it doesn't really succeed at being a horror film despite having plenty of elements that would usually work. That said it is well-paced, has some interesting elements, the cast is decent and the ending is solid.

Before the opening titles, the film begins with the character of the old man, "Pete" butchering a goat and spreading its blood around the floor of his cabin. According to Hollywood Reporter items from 1958 and 1960, The Devil's Partner was filmed in late 1958 and two years later purchased for distribution by Roger Corman's Filmgroup, Inc.

It is good to say that Devil’s Partner lives up to that promise and while this is not a particularly scary film, it is commanding in the fact that it captures your attention quite thoroughly.
