11. Apr. 2022 · Originally called The Colonials, The Halifax Three centred around highschool friends and guitarists Denny Doherty and Richard Byrne and drummer Pat LaCroix. By 1962 they’d established themselves as one of the most proficient and musically talented folk trios on the east coast, spinning traditional tunes with a Maritime flavour.
The Halifax Three – Bio. The Halifax Three cut two albums for Epic Records during 1963, and the line-up consisted of Dennis “Denny” Doherty [born November 29th 1941], Patrick LaCroix and Richard Byrne. They met, and first sang together, at a 1960 New Year’s Party in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The Halifax Three released January 21, 1963. San Francisco Bay Blues released July 15, 1963. All The Good Times (Epic Single) released November 8, 1963 (Stereo Mix). In jewel case. Eight page booklet includes liner notes, memorabilia and reproduces the original LP jacket back covers. A Collectors' Choice Music reply card is also included.
