There have been a few adaptations of the Adventure Series over the years, and this is (to my knowledge) the very first. I have already reviewed the 1990 adaptation of The Castle of Adventure with Susan George, Gareth Hunt and Brian Blessed.

Featuring outstanding performances from John Rhys-Davies and Norman Bowler (and fairly terrible performances from half of the rest of the cast, it has to be said) this film is a roller-coaster of action - from explosions to birds flying in through windows, from boat chases to frogs hopping out of bowls.
