The Latymer School. Coordinates: 51.6250°N 0.0744°W. The Latymer School is a selective, mixed grammar school in Edmonton, London, England, established in 1624 by Edward Latymer. History and traditions. Latymer was established in 1624 on Church Street, Edmonton by bequest of Edward Latymer, a London City merchant in Hammersmith. [1] .

With around 230 students in Years 12 and 13, the Latymer School’s Sixth Form has been rated outstanding (Ofsted, March 2022). Applications are welcomed from all, and the Sixth Form provides a diverse and inclusive environment for study.
The Latymer School strongly encourages applications from new students with a passion for their chosen subjects and welcomes them to our community. As of the 30th November 2023, the deadline for submitting applications for entry to Year 12 in September 2024 has now closed.

The Latymer School offers a broad and balanced curriculum for Years 7 to 13, with a focus on developing talents and interests. The curriculum complies with the National Curriculum and includes courses in English, mathematics, science, languages, art, technology, history, geography, religious education, ICT, drama, music and physical education.
On Tuesday 30 th January, we held a special assembly to launch the 400 th anniversary of the Latymer School, both reflecting on the history that shaped Latymer as well as looking forward to the exciting events that await us in 2024.
