The Latymer School. Qui Patitur Vincit. Who endeavours wins. Founded in 1624, the Latymer School has provided an excellent education to the young people of Edmonton and its surrounding areas in North London for almost 400 years.

History and traditions. Latymer was established in 1624 on Church Street, Edmonton by bequest of Edward Latymer, a London City merchant in Hammersmith. [1] .
With around 230 students in Years 12 and 13, the Latymer School’s Sixth Form has been rated outstanding (Ofsted, March 2022). Applications are welcomed from all, and the Sixth Form provides a diverse and inclusive environment for study.
The Latymer School strongly encourages applications from new students with a passion for their chosen subjects and welcomes them to our community. As of the 30th November 2023, the deadline for submitting applications for entry to Year 12 in September 2024 has now closed.

Curriculum overview. The key areas of learning and experience at the Latymer School. Our aim is for each pupil to develop talents and interests to the full while experiencing a broad and balanced curriculum throughout Years 7 to 11. In Years 12 and 13 the curriculum obviously narrows as it prepares students for further study.
On Tuesday 30 th January, we held a special assembly to launch the 400 th anniversary of the Latymer School, both reflecting on the history that shaped Latymer as well as looking forward to the exciting events that await us in 2024.
