Film und Fernsehen. Das Buch wurde erstmals 1925 als The Lost World von Harry O. Hoyt verfilmt. Dabei wurden die Dinosaurier mit der Stop-Motion-Technik zum Leben erweckt. Der Film weicht an mehreren Punkten vom Roman ab, beispielsweise wurde der Expedition noch eine weibliche Begleiterin hinzugefügt.
