Putney At A Glance. Located in picturesque southeastern Vermont, The Putney School was founded as a place for progressive education. We work to set students up for their own success. And we have a long history of doing just that. Our process is time tested.
The Putney Core. The Putney School has been on the leading edge of progressive education for more than 80 years. It’s where we like to be. Progressive education is designed to create engaged citizens for a democratic society, and we all feel the urgency of that project.
Our Process. We have an intentional admissions process designed for each kind of student. Whether you’re a traditional applicant or an international student, or you’re applying in the middle of the school year, we’ve got everything you need to know.
