Official website. The Swinging Blue Jeans are a four-piece 1960s British Merseybeat band, best known for their hit singles with the HMV label: "Hippy Hippy Shake", "Good Golly Miss Molly", and "You're No Good", issued in 1964. Subsequent singles released that year and the next made no impression.

Formed in Liverpool in 1961 as The Bluegenes, the band soon changed their name to The Swinging Blue Jeans. They followed virtually the same path to success as many of their Merseybeat contemporaries during the early 1960s.
Lead Guitar / Lead Vocal. Alan has been the right hand man to founder members of The Swinging Blue Jeans (Les Braid & Ray Ennis) for many years. Les Braid sadly passed away in 2005. Ray Ennis announced his retirement from the group in 2010. Alan started his career in the early Sixties. and has toured & recorded with many named acts such as: -.
