  3. 4. Feb. 2008 · I gave this two stars because the prose was fine. Otherwise, the book was pointless. You don't know who the protagonist is supposed to be. All the characters were completely self-serving and, at times, grotesquely unlikable except for the daughter, who was unfathomable.
