Thomas Hardy schreibt so in meinen Augen sehr lebhaft, authentisch und absolut ehrlich. Durch die Perspektive hatte ich als Leserin jedoch auch einen umfassenden Blick auf die Handlung und konnte die einzelnen Protagonisten kennenlernen und ihre Handlungsweisen nachvollziehen. Auf der anderen Seite ist die Geschichte auch keinesfalls leicht.
