Thomas Struth (born 11 October 1954) is a German photographer who is best known for his Museum Photographs series, black and white photographs of the streets of Düsseldorf and New York taken in the 1970s, and his family photographs series.
Thomas Struth (deutsch, 1954) wird in Geldern am Niederrhein geboren. Er studiert von 1973 bis 1980 Malerei und Fotografie an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, u. a. bei Gerhard Richter und Bernd Becher. Viele seiner frühen Werke sind Schwarzweiß-Fotografien von Stadtszenen, Industrieflächen und verlassenen Straßen.
