Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form is a large comprehensive school (1,926 students – correct October 2021) which is part of The Broad Horizon Education Trust. We are a well-established and highly successful Sixth Form of approximately 430 students.
High quality teacher explanation, modelling and questioning supports the development of expert knowledge. We use formative and summative assessment strategies to further develop understanding and to reduce forgetting. We teach social behaviours, and refer to aspiration, respect and engaging in learning.
