Toru "Tiger" Okoshi (born March 21, 1950) is an American jazz fusion trumpeter born in Ashiya, Japan. After studying at Kwansei Gakuin University, Okoshi moved to the U.S. in 1972. In 1975 he completed studies at the Berklee College of Music.

Tiger Okoshi. Japanese trumpet and synthesizer player, born March 21, 1950 in Ashita, Japan. Leader of the group Tiger's Baku. Member of the George Russell Orchestra & has performed with Tony Bennett, Gary Burton, Dave Grusin, Dave Liebman, and Pat Metheny.
We caught-up with jazz fusion trumpet player and Yamaha artist Tiger Okoshi who told us about the current state of jazz, offered some of his top tips and told us about his sound. Having performed with some of the biggest names in jazz, Tiger Okoshi has an outstanding reputation in the trumpet world.
