Timothy John McIntire (July 19, 1944 – April 15, 1986) was an American character actor, probably best known for his starring roles as Alan Freed in the film American Hot Wax (1978), as singer George Jones in the television movie Stand by Your Man (1981), and for his performances in The Gumball Rally (1976) and Brubaker (1980).
Tim McIntire (1944-1986) was a versatile and underrated performer in movies and TV shows. He composed the scores for Jeremiah Johnson, A Boy and His Dog, and The Killer Inside Me, among others.

Timothy John McIntire (July 19, 1944 – April 15, 1986) was an American actor who is best known for playing the fictional character Alan Freed in the movie American Hot Wax (1978). He played Dickie in the 1968 pilot episode of All in the Family.
Tim McIntire was the son of actor John McIntire and appeared in films such as The Sterile Cuckoo, Brubaker, and American Hot Wax. He also composed the music for A Boy and His Dog and died young from alcohol and drug problems.
