Blue Cheer
When Blue Cheer initially broke up in 1972, bandleader Dickie Peterson tried on several occasions to reboot the band on several occasions with different lineups but beyond rehearsals and the occasional tour. In 1978, Dickie Peterson began rehearsing with Davis-based guitarist Tony Rainier, a younger brother of Peterson's high school friend (and sometime Blue Cheer soundman and bodyguard) Larry Rainier. Michael Fleck was auditioned as drummer. The reformed Blue Cheer recorded an album with Jim Keylor at Army Street Studios.

21. Feb. 2012 · Tony Rainier, the band’s guitarist during the late 1970s and early 1980s, is planning to resurrect the Blue Cheer name and carry on. He’ll be joined by Luke Ayoso (apparently from an 80s glam band called FRENCHEE) as the vocalist, with a drummer, bassist and lead guitarist to be announced.
