Toulouse Street is the second studio album by American rock band the Doobie Brothers. It was released on July 1, 1972, by Warner Bros. Records. It was the band's first album with bassist Tiran Porter and also the first with drummer Michael Hossack to augment existing drummer John Hartman, putting in place their trademark twin-drummer sound.

Album #2 von den Doobie Brothers war ein ganz großer Wurf. Nicht nur weil ihre ersten beiden großen Hits "Listen To The Music" und "Jesus Is Just Alright" darauf vertreten sind, nein es ist die völlig lockere Stimmung und die pure Spielfreude, die dieses Album vermittelt.Alle Songs sind sehr schön arrangiert: hier eine Querflöte, da ein Bläser-Satz und viele Akkustik-Gitarren.
Außerdem wurde Michael Hossack als zweiter Schlagzeuger engagiert, was bis dahin nur Grateful Dead und die Allman Brothers getan hatten. Das 72er Album Toulouse Street verkaufte sich dank eingängiger Melodien und betont rockender Rhythmen durch die Singlehits Listen to the Music und Jesus is just alright sehr gut.
