Teressa Claire "Tress" MacNeille (née Payne) is an American voice actress and singer, whose best-known Disney roles include voicing Daisy Duck, Chip, Gadget Hackwrench, Anastasia Tremaine, Merryweather, Lady Bane, as well as various other characters in other animated Disney films and television series.
Born in Los Angeles, California, MacNeille loved cartoons as a child and wanted to be a voice actress at the age of eight, but instead chose a "practical" career, feeling she would never be able to realize her ambition.
