"The Unfaithful Servant" or "Unfaithful Servant" is a song written by Robbie Robertson that was first released by The Band on their 1969 album The Band. The Parable of the Faithful Servant (or Parable of the Door Keeper) is a parable of Jesus found in Matthew 24:42-51, Mark 13:34-37, and Luke 12:35-48 about how it is important for the faithful to keep watch.
Jesus' parable teaches that servants placed over others must faithfully fulfill their duties, even if it is a long time. Servants who stop caring will be punished. Punishment will be related to the previous knowledge we have had.
2 Peter 2:14-15. The apostle says false prophets have "eyes full of adultery ." While this may apply literally, it can also more generally describe unfaithfulness —a willingness to abandon an agreement if they feel it is in their interest to do so. They also worry little about resisting sin.
