Vanderbilt University Law School (also known as VLS) is the law school of Vanderbilt University. Established in 1874, it is one of the oldest law schools in the southern United States. Vanderbilt Law enrolls approximately 640 students, with each entering Juris Doctor class consisting of approximately 175 students.

LL.M. students can earn a certificate of specialization in Law and Business by continuing their studies for two years through an innovative, interdisciplinary curriculum created by the law school in conjunction with Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management.
Scholarship, professional development, and commitment to service for the greater good are integral components of a Vanderbilt legal education. With about 155 students in each entering JD class, our smaller size allows greater access to an elite faculty in an unusually collegial and rigorous school culture.
