Victor Amadeus II (Vittorio Amedeo Francesco; 14 May 1666 [1] – 31 October 1732) was the head of the House of Savoy and ruler of the Savoyard states from 12 June 1675 until his abdication in 1730. He was the first of his house to acquire a royal crown, ruling first as King of Sicily (1713–1720) and then as King of Sardinia (1720–1730).

Viktor Amadeus war der Sohn von Herzog Karl Emanuel II. von Savoyen und dessen zweiter Gemahlin Maria Johanna von Savoyen. Als sein Vater am 12. Juni 1675 in Turin starb, war Vittorio Amadeo erst 9 Jahre alt und wurde nominell Herzog von Savoyen.

Victor Amadeus of Savoy, 5th Prince of Carignano (31 October 1743 – 10 September 1780) was a member of the House of Savoy and Prince of Carignano. He was the brother of the murdered princesse de Lamballe and grandfather of King Charles Albert of Sardinia.
