Born at St. Philip, Barbados in 1956, and the gentle, sensitive, Wayne 'The Diamond' Daniel was without doubt an extremely quick right-arm fast bowler and right-handed tail end batsman. He represented the West Indies in 10 Tests between 1975/76 and 1983/84 together with 18 one-day internationals and he toured abroad on three occasions.
