Ford's second solo album Weary and Wired was released on March 13, 2007, on Shrapnel Records' subdivision Blues Bureau. Coinciding with the album release , was Ford's feature interview on the cover of jam-band oriented music magazine Hittin' the Note (Issue #52).

Sehr vielseitig ist "Weary And Wired" geworden! Mit "Featherweight Dreamland" knallt uns erstmal ein heftiger Rocker entgegen, der genauso gut auf dem nächsten Black Crowes -Album stehen könnte. Eine treibende Gitarre wird nach allen Kräften von Bass, Schlagzeug und hintergründigem Piano nicht nur unterstützt, sondern sogar noch angespornt.
