Wei Jingsheng (chinesisch 魏京生, Pinyin Wèi Jīngshēng; * 20. Mai 1950 in Peking ) ist einer der bedeutendsten politischen Dissidenten der Volksrepublik China . Während des Pekinger Frühlings machte er seine Forderungen nach Demokratie an der Mauer der Demokratie bekannt und wurde deshalb 15 Jahre in Gefängnissen und Arbeitslagern inhaftiert.
Wei Jingsheng (Chinese: 魏京生; born 20 May 1950) is a Chinese human rights activist and dissident. He is best known for his involvement in the Chinese democracy movement . He is most prominent for having authored the essay " The Fifth Modernization ", which was posted on the Democracy Wall in Beijing in 1978.

Wei Jingsheng is a winner of numerous human rights awards, including the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Human Rights Award in 1996, the European Parliament's Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, the National Endowment for Democracy Award in 1997, and the Olof Palme Memorial Prize in 1994. Wei Jingsheng has been nominated seven times for Nobel Peace Prize since 1993.
