Lawrence also served as a panelist on What's My Line? (1950–67). In 1964, Lawrence starred in the Broadway musical What Makes Sammy Run?, which centered on an ambitious young man clawing his way to the top in Hollywood. It ran for 540 performances at the 54th Street Theater.
