    This series was a showcase for MGM's earlier family-friendly theatrical features, many of them edited into two-part installments, as well as "backdoor pilots" for potential series.

    Appearing in wraparounds for each show are animated versions of characters from the MGM classic The Wizard of Oz. Besides the Wonderful Wizard himself, friends Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion all appear.
