William Jack Baumol (February 26, 1922 – May 4, 2017) was an American economist. He was a professor of economics at New York University, Academic Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Professor Emeritus at Princeton University.
As the Harold Price Professor of Entrepreneurship and academic director of the Stern School’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship, Will Baumol did pioneering research on productivity, competition, entrepreneurship, environmental policy, corporate finance, and the economics of the arts.
