William Frederick Langford (* 7. August 1896 in Gravenhurst; † 21. Januar 1973 in Toronto) war ein kanadischer Ruderer, der 1924 Olympiazweiter mit dem Achter war. William Langford ruderte für die Varsity Blues, das Sportteam der University of Toronto.

William Boice Langford (1887–1977) was a golf course designer and civil engineer from Austin, Illinois. He graduated from both Yale and Columbia University. During the golden age of golf design between the world wars, he produced many great golf courses primarily in the Midwest states.
16. Sept. 2019 · Like many Golden Age architects, William Langford was a stellar golfer. He starred on the Yale golf team while earning a degree in civil engineering. In 1918, he joined forces with Moreau, and they went on to design over 200 courses.

William B. Langford, who hailed from Austin , Illinois , was born in 1887. During his childhood Langford suffered from polio but fortunately he fully recovered. A while later he took up golf (prescribed during rehabilitation) and excelled at the sport.
Langford was one of the 14 founding members of ASGCA in 1947 and served as ASGCA President in 1951-1952 and 1963-1964. He served as an ASGCA member for 29 years until his death in 1977. William B. Langford is associated with the American Society of Golf Course Architects.
William Langford | Illinois Golf Hall of Fame. Inducted: 2019. Born in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood; played at Westward Ho before and after standout career at Yale. Took engineering degree and became architect before World War I, continued into 1960s.
