He is known for his roles on Richard Diamond, Private Detective (1957–1959), Death Valley Days (1955–1962), and The Patty Duke Show (1963–1966).
William Schallert (1922-2016) was a versatile and prolific actor who appeared in movies, TV shows and commercials. He also served as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1979 to 1981 and was known for roles in Star Trek, Innerspace and The Patty Duke Show.
