Baron Rossmore, und dessen Frau Dolores Cecil Lee (geborene Wilson). Er wurde am Eton College in Windsor erzogen. Er diente als 2nd Lieutenant bei der Somerset Light Infantry.
Lord Rossmore died childless (his death gave rise to the legend of the Rossmore banshee) and was succeeded according to the special remainder by his nephew Warner William Westenra, the second Baron. He represented Monaghan in the British House of Commons and also served as Lord Lieutenant of Monaghan from 1831 to 1842.

William Warner Westenra was born 14 February, 1931, son of the 6th Baron Rossmore [1892-1958], and his wife the former Dolores Cecil Wilson [died 1981]; and succeeded to the peerage on his father's death, 17 Oct, 1958.
William Westenra, 6. Baron Rossmore (* 12. Juli 1892; † 17. Oktober 1958) war ein britischer Adliger und Politiker. William Westenra war der älteste Sohn von Derrick Westenra, 5. Baron Rossmore, und dessen Frau Mittie (geborene Naylor). Er hatte zwei Geschwister. 1921 erbte er den Titel Baron Rossmore seines Vaters.
