Wisbech Grammar School is a community populated by individuals instilled with a sense of purpose and passion. We are proud to be one of the oldest academically selective HMC day schools in the country and in September 2019 we opened our first International Boarding House.
Wisbech Grammar School is an 11–18 mixed, Church of England, private day school and sixth form in Wisbech, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England. Founded by the Guild of the Holy Trinity in 1379, it is one of the oldest schools in the country.
At Wisbech Grammar School we are proud of our past but are very much focused on the future. We believe that educational development is not simply confined to the classroom or laboratory, but can be found in the drama studio, sports fields and music rooms.
The transition to Senior School is an exciting time for pupils coming from both local Primary Schools and our own Prep School. WGS prides itself on excellent pastoral care at all stages of the journey through the Senior School, and Lower School.
You can register for one of our Open Days by clicking here. Our main entry points are Kindergarten, Reception, 1st Form (Year 7), 3rd Form (Year 9), 4th Form (Year 10), and 6th Form . However, we frequently admit to all year groups. Please contact us to enquire about spaces and entrance criteria.
