The 1988 ABC documentary film With Peter Beard in Africa: Last Word from Paradise was produced by Robert H. Nixon and Mel Stuart in collaboration with Canal+. In November 1988 Beard’s work, which was originally exhibited in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1967, was included in the International Center of Photography’s 14th Anniversary Gala.
