1. Apr. 2024 · Singer’s Bio. Booker T & The MG’s was initially comprised of four members: keyboardist Booker T. Jones, guitarist Steve Cropper, drummer Al Jackson Jr., and bassist Lewie Steinberg. Born on November 12, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee, Booker T. Jones was a child prodigy who began playing the piano at the age of three.
