7. Apr. 2024 · Biography edit · view history. Yuji Horii (堀井 雄二) was born on January 6, 1954 in Awaji Island. He graduated from Waseda University's Department of Literature. He also worked as a freelance writer for magazines, newspapers, and comics, before joining Enix Corporation as a video game designer.
Vor 4 Tagen · Dragon Quest was created by Yuji Horii, inspired by previous role-playing games such as Wizardry, Ultima, and his own 1983 game The Portopia Serial Murder Case. Horii wanted to create an introductory RPG for a wide audience.

7. Apr. 2024 · The series' creator Yuji Horii cited Wizardry and Heart of Phantasm games among the main influences. He stated that he wanted to create role-playing games that were easily accessible to everyone, as opposed to the complex and demanding gameplay systems of Western RPGs.

There is nothing else on the planet beside this island and the vast ocean surrounding it. One day, you and two friends make a discovery and realize the the world was once much more than Estard Island.
27. März 2024 · Aside from Toriyama, there was also Hironubu Sakaguchi, creator of Final Fantasy, and Yuji Horii, creator of Dragon Quest. Chrono Trigger 's critical and commercial success would later breed a sequel loosely based on the original, titled Chrono Cross , though Toriyama had no personal involvement in that game himself.
