Kamakiriad is the second solo album by Steely Dan artist Donald Fagen, released in 1993. It was his first collaboration with Steely Dan partner Walter Becker since 1986, on Rosie Vela 's album Zazu. Becker played guitar and bass and produced the album.

Donald Jay Fagen (born January 10, 1948) is an American musician who was the co-founder, lead singer, co-songwriter, and keyboardist of the band Steely Dan, formed in the early 1970s with musical partner Walter Becker.
16. Okt. 2009 · Didn't Fagen tour with The Rock & Soul review a lot in the eighties? I know he contributed songs to Rosie Vela's Zazu album. I definitely read the writers block story as well, but Kamakiriad was well worth the wait.
She released her debut album, Zazu, in 1986. The entire album was written or co-written by Vela and was produced by Gary Katz. It included contributions from both Donald Fagen and Walter Becker (two of Vela's musical heroes) six years after they had disbanded their group Steely Dan.

Do you know how many times Fagen and Becker played together on a non-Steely Dan-related track, outside of Rosie Vela’s Zazu?
Zazu (1986) is the debut (and, to date, only) album released by American model and singer-songwriter Rosie Vela. The album was produced by Gary Katz, best known for his work in that capacity with Steely Dan, and many of the songs feature Steely Dan's Donald Fagen on keyboards and Walter Becker on guitar.
