    On November 17, 2004, a teaser DVD called "Air Prelude" was released which had interviews with cast, a clean opening and ending sequences and footage of the anime itself.     On March 31, 2005, a DVD was released titled "Air Memories" which contained commercials, staff commentaries, and clean ending sequences from Episode Twelve and Thirteen. Air was one of the first anime series to be released on Blu-ray, released on December 22, 2006. A new version of the Blu-ray was released on November 28, 2008 in Japan.

    On April 27, 2007, ADV Films announced that they had bought the license for the anime series and the movie adaptation of Air. The episodes were released on four DVDs throughout North America, that included the twelve main episodes and Air in Summer.
