Alvino Rey (eigentlich Alvin McBurney, * 1. Juli 1908 in Oakland; † 26. Februar 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazz-Gitarrist und Bandleader des Swing, der auch als „Vater der Pedal Steel Guitar“ bekannt wurde und Verdienste bei der Entwicklung der elektrischen Gitarre hatte.
Alvin McBurney (July 1, 1908 – February 24, 2004), [1] known by his stage name Alvino Rey, was an American jazz guitarist and bandleader. He is also known for being the grandfather of Win Butler and Will Butler and grandfather-in-law of Regine Chassagne, Win Butler's wife.
